Seed4Soft, lead investor in Doqboard's funding round, the healthtech clinical study solution for doctors

The Normandy startup announces a funding round of 360,000€ from local and national backers to accelerate the commercialisation of its clinical study solution in France and Europe.

A solution tailored to doctors Doqboard was born in 2018 out of an observation by its founder, Dr Eric Sarrazin: "Faced with the costs of medical research, in both people and equipment, many practitioners find themselves forced to use tools ill-suited to running their clinical studies, whether personal or collaborative. Spreadsheets and paper are still frequently used, which creates problems of drudgery and of security in collecting and sharing data, and produces databases that are scattered and hard to exploit." To address that problem, Doqboard has built an innovative clinical study management solution that helps doctors run their studies simply while letting them build and exploit their own databases. Relying on certified health data hosting (HDS), the solution, available to any practitioner and medical team, offers an intuitive, collaborative and secure interface to collect clinical data, centralise projects and analyse results automatically. Doqboard is also available to learned societies, research groups and healthcare industry players to help them run their studies in collaboration with doctors.

Backed by BPI, Crédit Agricole Normandie Seine and its accelerator Le Village By CA Rouen Vallée de Seine, the web platform launched in late 2019 and currently supports more than 260 doctors, medical teams and research groups on key subjects such as COVID-19 infections, the impact of physical activity on cancer, obesity care, the treatment of road accident victims and disability management.

A successful first funding round from local and national backers On the strength of that record, Doqboard has completed its first seed funding round for an amount of 360k€ from the business angel club Seed4soft, the fund CA Innove en Normandie (CA'IN), and private investors.

As its founder puts it: "The aim of this round is to let Doqboard continue building its structure, accelerate the commercialisation of its solution in France and Europe, and keep bringing innovative features to its users. Faced with the challenges of the current health crisis, supporting the acceleration of medical research seems to us more fundamental than ever." Seed4soft is a club of entrepreneur investors founded on the initiative of board members of TECH'IN France and of software professionals. Its mission is to fund, support and coach seed-stage startups in B2B SaaS software publishing. CA'IN is a regional investment fund created by the Crédit Agricole Normandie Seine and Normandie regional banks, intended to support the projects of innovative Normandy entrepreneurs and accelerate their growth.

A clear vision of the future In time, Doqboard aims to become a major player in medical research and clinical data analysis, thanks in particular to how accessible its solution is, its disruptive business model and its applicability across every medical field.
