Privacy policy

This policy sets out the personal data this site collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to exercise your rights.

Data controller

Seed for Soft, Association loi 1901, 11 Avenue Myron Herrick, 75008 Paris. RNA no. W751208760 · SIRET 82784261800015. The collective has not appointed a data protection officer: for any question or request about your data, write to analyste@seed4soft.com.

Data we collect

The site only collects what you type in yourself. No account to create, no profiling, no data bought from a third party.

  • Application form (founders): your name and email address, your phone number and LinkedIn profile if you provide them, the name and website of the startup, the description of the project, traction and funding details, and the deck you attach or link to.
  • “Invest alongside us” form: your first name, last name and email address, your LinkedIn profile if you provide it, and your answer to the question about your investing experience.
  • Technical server logs kept by the host: IP address, timestamp and page requested. They serve site security and the throttling of automated form submissions.

Purposes and legal basis

Data from both forms is used solely to review your request and reply to you. It is never used for outbound marketing. The legal basis is your consent, collected through the form's checkbox (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing already carried out. Technical logs rest instead on the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f)).

Recipients

Your data is read by the members of the collective who review applications. It is not sold, rented, or passed on for advertising. Three processors handle it on our behalf, each within its own scope:

  • Vercel Inc.: hosting of the site and technical logs.
  • Resend: delivery of form submissions to our inbox.
  • Notion Labs Inc.: internal tracking of applications and investor contacts.

Transfers outside the European Union

All three processors are established in the United States. Transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, depending on the processor, by its certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

Applications we do not take forward, and investor contacts, are kept for three years from the last exchange, then deleted. Files that led to an investment are kept for the duration of the relationship, then for the applicable limitation period. Technical logs are kept by the host under its own policy, and for no longer than twelve months.

Your rights

You have the following rights over your data. They can be exercised at any time with a message to analyste@seed4soft.com, which is answered within one month.

  • Access: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Erasure: ask for your data to be deleted.
  • Restriction and objection: ask for processing to be frozen, or object to it.
  • Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdrawal of consent: at any time, with no reason required.

Audience measurement

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure loading times. Neither sets a cookie, and neither creates an identifier that would recognise you from one visit to the next, or from one site to another. No data is passed to an advertising network. That is why this site shows no consent banner: it has nothing to ask you.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all: none for advertising, none for analytics, not even a language preference. The language is carried by the page address, not by your browser.

Complaints

If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): cnil.fr.
