How do you exploit thousands of internal documents when they are obsolete, inconsistent or impossible to find? That is the daily challenge for large companies, faced with the chaos of their document repositories.

To answer it, KAI's proprietary AI technology rests on a set of intelligent agents using neural semantic graph algorithms.

These intelligent agents carry out a semantic contextual indexing of every document within the company (document databases, product sheets, user manuals, HR, IT and business processes, and so on). That analysis, which preserves the meaning and context of documents, is comparable to a human's.

The result is the detection of inconsistencies. The exact location within the source documents lets companies update their databases easily and quickly.

KAI also gives employees intuitive search in natural language. The answers provided are exhaustive and contextualised.

"With LLM use in general, the problem is garbage in, garbage out: the quality of the documents is not under control. Initially we used KAI to complete the answer base on our helpdesk. Since then we have addressed other business use cases. We use KAI for natural language search as well as for updating our databases. It makes incredible things possible." says Vincent Lauriat, CTO and Deputy CIO at Veolia Eau

Unlike generative AI solutions that use vectorisation such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), KAI guarantees reliable answers while eliminating the risk of losing meaning and of hallucinations. That brings a significant gain in the accuracy of the answers given to employees' prompts: valid answer rates of around 90% or more are achievable, well above the solutions currently on the market.

"We offer a solution that at last answers companies' real needs: knowledge that is up to date and usable quickly and with complete confidence," explain Stéphane Ngo and Olivier Jourdran, co-founders of KAI. "At KAI, it is the technology that adapts to human needs, not the other way round. A solution that frees employees from tedious searching so that they can concentrate on work with added value, while letting companies keep control of their knowledge."

This first funding round will let KAI strengthen its R&D and sales teams. In practice, that means recruiting tech profiles (full stack developer, data scientist) and business profiles to accelerate its growth (customer success, business developer, marketing manager). "We were won over by the team's ability and agility in decoding the mechanisms of a new generation of software that lets you draw instantly on all the knowledge spread across a company," adds Jean-Noël Grandval, co-founding partner of Seed4Soft.
