The startup BSPORT raises 30 million euros to digitalise gyms

Founded in 2019, the French startup Bsport is establishing itself as a key player in the digitalisation of gyms and the wellness sector. Through its all-in-one SaaS platform, it offers solutions suited to new consumer habits and to the operational needs of small and mid-sized businesses. Its aim: to simplify management, maximise efficiency and support the digital transformation of fitness businesses.

An offering in step with how the market is changing The business model of gyms has been deeply transformed by the rise of pay-as-you-go and by growing demand for remote classes. Bsport built those changes in from the start, launching a platform that handles registrations, payments, scheduling and customer loyalty. The solution also includes streaming tools for online classes and video on demand, answering a demand for greater flexibility. The startup also stands out for its marketing features built on artificial intelligence, which allow advanced personalisation of customer communications. That innovation comes on top of the option for gyms to develop their own white-label app, strengthening their independence and their brand. Product and marketing innovations that let gyms build additional revenue Bsport does not stop at running gyms. The startup plans to add dynamic pricing and affiliate features, opening the way to new services such as selling sports equipment or organising complementary cultural activities. With these additions, it aims to become a player across the whole wellness value chain. A new funding round to accelerate expansion Bsport has just closed a 30 million euro Series B round. The round was led by BASE10 and OCTOPUS VENTURES, with the participation of SEED4SOFT and other existing investors. Part of the funds will go to strengthening its sales teams in the United Kingdom, which already accounts for 20% of its client portfolio, and to continuing its expansion in Asia and the United States. The rest will serve to restructure the cap table as early investors exit. Bsport had previously raised 4 million euros in a Series A from SEVENTURE PARTNERS in 2023, along with 800,000 euros at seed, backed notably by CHRISTOPHE CHAUSSON and business angels.
