Workshop run by Seed4soft at the Fund Me Day organised by Tech in France at Station F on 20 November 2017

To mark the release of the "SaaS Guidelines by Seed4soft", we will be at the Fund Me Day organised by Tech in France at Station F on 20 November, www.fundmeday.fr. Franck Delorme, president of Seed4soft, will run a flash conference at 4pm on the theme "SaaS entrepreneurs – how to address investors?". The aim of this meeting is to give SaaS entrepreneurs the keys to a coherent and solid project, so as to be credible later on when raising funds: pricing, internal organisation, technology, business model. We will cover the best practices for building a SaaS project along with what investors expect precisely at the seed or Series A stage.

We will hand out the SaaS Guidelines at the event, and you will also be able to download them from our website from 21 November 2017.

See you soon!

Preface

Faced with the proliferation of software offerings in SaaS mode –Software as a Service– and the massive adoption of the cloud by companies, the members of Seed4soft, an investor club of 20 B2B software experts (www.seed4soft.com), decided to publish these SaaS guidelines drawn from their experience inside SaaS publishers of various sizes and as investors.

In this guide we will address the following aspects:

  1. Pricing, packaging and the business model
  2. Marketing, sales, services and customer support organisation
  3. R&D processes
  4. Product and R&D organisation
  5. Technology choices and cloud infrastructure
  6. Contractual aspects and financial indicators
  7. Valuation factors
