Lokki, the all-in-one platform for equipment renters, announces a Series A funding round of 6.3 million euros.

Paris, 24 September 2024 – Lokki, the all-in-one platform for equipment renters, announces a Series A funding round of 6.3 million euros. The round was led by blisce/, an investment firm specialising in high-impact companies, alongside Racine2 (Serena and MakeSense), 50 Partners Impact and a consortium of international funds (FJ Labs and Silence VC).

This funding will let Lokki strengthen circularity in store by developing innovative solutions such as long-term rental, LokkiPayment and LokkiAssurance. The aim is to support thousands of stores, in France and internationally, towards a distinctive rental model that is both sustainable and profitable, making that option more attractive than buying. In line with the recommendations of ADEME, Lokki aims to drive more responsible consumption by bringing rental to a wider public. It is a key lever for reducing the ecological footprint by favouring sharing over ownership.

Bringing sustainable leisure to a wider public through equipment rental. Co-founded in 2019 by Raphaël Masbou and Benoit Prigent, Lokki makes it easier to reach

leisure experiences, mainly outdoors (cycling, surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, skiing, gardening and so on), by offering two main services:

  • A SaaS management tool to help professionals run their rental business easily day to day: getlokki.com
  • An online marketplace letting users rent equipment in one click, anywhere in France: lokki.rent

Lokki therefore addresses both renters looking to simplify the management of their business and to offer a better customer experience without administrative formalities, and users adopting more sustainable consumption, consuming only according to their immediate needs.

"Rental is a key solution for sustainable and responsible consumption," explains Raphaël Masbou, CEO of Lokki. "Through our all-in-one platform, we simplify management for retailers and make access easier for users, while promoting a circular and decarbonised economy."

"Lokki embodies real potential for growth and positive impact by shifting consumption towards a model more sustainable for our society and the planet," says Alexandre Mars, founder and CEO of blisce/, "We are proud to back this vision."

A view shared by Léa Zaslavsky, partner at the fund Racine² (Serena and makesense), who notes that "at makeSense, as at Serena, we are proud to support the Lokki revolution, which makes rental the cornerstone of a way of life where use replaces buying, for a robust economy that takes planetary limits into account. Thank you to them!"

"We are very happy to have new partners alongside us, who support our determination to have a concrete positive impact on society and to expand internationally. By accelerating the growth of our marketplace, we will be able to create a strong brand that targets both renters and users within a single ecosystem," concludes Raphaël Masbou.
