Artificial intelligence: Q°emotion, Seed4soft's second investment of the year
Using the emotions customers express to improve engagement and limit churn
Q°emotion raises 500,000 euros from Seed4soft and boosts customer relations through emotional analysis
Troyes, 5 July 2017 – Using the emotions customers express to improve engagement and limit churn: this is the challenge taken up by the startup Q°emotion. Launched in June 2015 by Matthieu Bruneteau de Gorsse and Grégoire Pfirsch, the first SaaS emotion analysis platform built on artificial intelligence scans and analyses the emotions contained in customer reviews across every channel. With this 500,000 euro investment from Seed4soft, joined by a few independent investors and BPI, Q°emotion is accelerating its growth in France and internationally.
Emotions at the heart of customer relations: an innovative AI-based analysis and alerting platform
The observation is now widely shared: emotion is at the heart of the customer-company relationship. According to Forrester, emotion is the leading factor in loyalty in 94% of industries. According to a joint Disney and Gallup study, organisations that have optimised their journey emotionally generate 26% more gross margin and 85% more sales growth than their competitors.
That is why the Q°emotion team created the first emotion analysis platform in the service of customer relations. To do so, Q°emotion analyses the emotions contained in customer reviews present across various channels: social networks, emails, surveys, CRM data and so on. Analysing that content reveals the points of tension between the brand and its customers and makes it possible to respond effectively to customer concerns.
"The Q°emotion approach is particularly relevant because it goes beyond simply measuring positive or negative sentiment. Thanks to a very fine-grained model built on detecting 6 emotions, Q°emotion's results are spectacular. Convinced by the AI technology, by the vision and by the soundness of its founders, we have every confidence in its growth potential," explain Pierre-Yves Dargaud and Olivier N'Jamfa, Q°emotion's Seed4soft mentors.
Corsair is the first airline to have adopted the solution: "Our priority at Corsair is our customers' satisfaction. The Q°emotion solution spots the sources of dissatisfaction among our travellers quickly and precisely, which then lets us bring them a concrete solution and improve our services significantly." says Stéphanie de La Roncière, marketing and customer experience manager at Corsair.
"For this first funding round, crucial to structuring our growth, we were looking for an investor partner who understood our business well and was also an expert in SaaS business models, able to help us clear the milestones of success," explain Matthieu Bruneteau de Gorsse and Grégoire Pfirsch, founders of Q°emotion. "That is Seed4Soft, which has already seeded many B2B SaaS projects that went on to become real successes."
Towards international growth
Encouraged by its promising start, Q°emotion aims to establish itself in a fast-growing affective computing market (40% CAGR to 2021), and to turn quickly to international markets thanks in particular to Seed4soft's network of expertise.
